Amazfit GTS 4 Mini Review

Amazfit GTS 4 Mini Image07

No, the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini is not worth buying because it doesn’t offer anything new, its almost the same as Amazfit GTS 2 Mini which is available at Rs 5999, so it doesn’t make any sense to pay a premium for Amazfit GTS 4 Mini, just because its new smartwatch.

Also, if you can go up to Rs 10000 then I would highly recommend you to consider the Amazfit GTS 2 which also has the Bluetooth calling feature.

Now, if you don’t want to spend Rs 10000 then still, you can consider the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini and ignore the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini.

The Amazfit GTS 4 Mini comes with a 1.65-inches 2.5D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 336 x 384 Pixels and 309 PPI density.

The screen is bright too, so there won’t be any kind of issue while using it outdoors. You will be able to see the text on the smartwatch, in short, it’s a usable screen under the sunlight.

The front screen is slightly curved which gives a premium feel. By the way, I didn’t see any frame drop or shutter while using the smartwatch which is all because of the software.

Overall, for the price of Rs 7999, Amazfit has provided good quality AMOLED display.

Design, Comfort, and Build

Amazfit GTS 4 Mini Image01

The Amazfit GTS 4 Mini has a glossy plastic back while the frame is made out of metal.

Now, here, I feel Amazfit should have provided the matt plastic back because the glossy plastic won’t look great after months of use.

By the way, the watch has a 20mm removable strap which means, if you don’t like the default strap then you can order any other 20mm strap from amazon and it will fit perfectly.

The default strap is also good, your skin won’t hurt even after wearing the watch for days. By the way, the watch is available in Flamingo Pink, and Midnight Black color options, so you can choose the one you like.

If you ask me, I would go with Midnight Black because it looks classy and will look great with any kind of clothes.

Overall, the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini is comfortable to wear, your hands won’t hurt even if you wear it all day, all night…

Zepp Application

Zepp Amazfit Application

What can I say about this app,

I feel after the Apple Watch, Amazfit has the best software whether it’s Watch-UI or even app UI, everything feels smooth and well organized.

Now, of course, we do have WearOS by Google but for that, you will have to pay more money, and if you’re paying more then it’s better to go with Apple Watch.

By the way, you will have to download the Zepp application on your smartphone whether you have iPhone or Android.

The app will show all the data from sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, calorie burn, and even GPS data. The app is user-friendly too, so it won’t be difficult to use for new users.

As you know, the watch has built-in GPS, so you run a lot then you don’t need to keep a smartphone with you all the time, you can use the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini as a GPS tracker and it works well all the time.

All in all, you will get the best experience compared to any other smartwatch under Rs 10000.

I have said it many times and I will say it again,

Don’t rely 100% on smartwatch sensors, if you have any medical condition, the smartwatch can give rough numbers but that won’t be 100% accurate.

In short, keep the error margin of around 5% to be on the safe side.

Still, if you want to use a smartwatch to measure your health then I would recommend you Apple Watch.

So if your end goal is to use the smartwatch while exercising, running, or any kind of workout then it’s better to go with Amazfit GTS 4 Mini because it provides more accurate data compared to other budget smartwatches.

Amazfit GTS 4 Mini Image05

By the way, as this is Smart-Watch, it has all the sensors like 3-Axis Accelerometer, Optical Heart Rate Sensor, SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation Level), and Wearing Monitoring too.

Amazfit has also added all the necessary features like 120+ built-in sports Modes, Female cycle, Drinking Reminder, Activity Tracker, Heart Rate Monitor, SpO2, and Stress Monitoring too.

Related: How SpO2 sensor works in Smartwatches

To control everything, we have the Zepp app which is available both on iOS as well as on Android.

The SpO2 sensor also works the best, it doesn’t feel gimmicky and the same can be said for the heart rate monitoring too. Again, keep the error margin of around 5% to be on the safe side.

Do note that, this is still a smartwatch, so don’t use this watch to measure your health condition, it’s just a tool that can give you rough numbers, so if you’re not feeling good then you better visit the hospital.

Still, compared to whatever smartwatches are available under Rs 10000, the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini will give you more accurate data.

Battery Life

Amazfit GTS 4 Mini Image04

So Amazfit has promised 15-days of battery backup with normal use and while 8-days of battery backup with heavy usage.

Now, here comes the real battery life,

If you use all the features from SpO2, heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking then expect the battery life to be around 5 to 7 days battery life.

Now, if you don’t use all the features then you will get a battery life to be around 10 to 12 days.

By the way, the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini has a 270 mAh battery while it comes with a Magnetic Charging cable. The smartwatch will take about 2 hours to charge from 1% to 100%.

Of course, battery life will depend on every user and how they use the smartwatch. So take these numbers to get an idea about the battery.

Amazfit GTS 4 Mini is a solid offering from Amazfit but the thing is, we also have the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini at 6k while Amazfit GTS 2 at Rs 10000.

Also, the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini doesn’t offer anything new, so it’s a bit hard to recommend unless the smartwatch price come down to Rs 5999.

What I’m saying is, that you can ignore the Amazfit GTS 4 Mini and consider the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini.
